Role

MVP product design, UI/UX, and branding

Challenge

Make an AI therapy and coaching product feel calm, credible, and easy to understand from the first session.

Approach

Define the MVP experience around onboarding, therapist selection, session flow, focus areas, product tone, and a brand system built for trust.

Outcome

The MVP and brand foundation supported a larger company-building phase, including over $10MM in funding and Tony Robbins joining as a co-founder.

Designing a trustworthy AI mental health product

Solitary Man led the MVP product design, UI/UX, and branding foundation for The Path, an AI therapy and coaching app built around clarity, action, and outcome-focused sessions rather than endless engagement.

From product idea to fundable MVP

The work centered on making a sensitive AI product feel calm, direct, and credible: onboarding, session flow, focus areas, therapist selection, tone, brand system, and the interaction patterns needed to make the product understandable from the first session.

A foundation for company momentum

The MVP and brand foundation supported The Path as it moved into a larger company-building phase, including over $10MM in funding and Tony Robbins joining as a co-founder.

Designing for sensitive moments

The Path needed more than polished screens. The product had to create enough trust for users to begin a personal session, share what they were carrying, and understand what the AI coach could help with.

The interface direction used warm visual cues, direct language, and clear session structure so the product felt supportive without becoming vague or overdesigned.
